The mask

I thought i'd try something diffrent with this. My sister and her boyfriend went to venice last week, and they brought home typically venician presents for me and my family (this mask, and others). The others all got nicely decorated pieces, but they brought this blanco mask for me, so I could make something nice of it myself, cause they thought I was "artsy" enough to make something good myself. I'm so proud...

Anyhow, As I was looking at this last night, I figured everyone really has some sort of mask, and used it at some point in their lives. It's nothing flowery, with weird rouges and things, just basically a mask to hide behind, to look "normal" or to hide their true nature.

It's really not even a photography, but a webcam shot, since I don't own a camera... *shame* Still, I love how it turned out! The mask is mad of paper-mache, and the black cloth underneath is my jacket, made of shining polyester to create a nice velvet atmosphere to it.
